Amid dheers and some tears, the epic hurling career of Clare great Shane O’Donnell came to an apparent end with Éire Óg’s exit from the Clare SHC.

The holders bowed out at the semi-final stage as Inagh-Kilnamona prevailed by 1-24 to 2-14 to set up a novel final clash with Kilmaley.
