Shamrock Rovers-Derry City showdown to be screened live on RTÉ

Shamrock Rovers' mouthwatering top-of-the-table clash with Derry City at Tallaght Stadium will be screened live on RTÉ2 and the RTÉ Player on Friday 13 May.

The Candystripes are in blistering form as they continue to set the pace at the top of the SSE Airtricity League Premier Division, but Shamrock Rovers remain on their shoulder, sitting just three points behind the leaders with 13 game played.

Derry face Bohs and St Pat's before heading to Tallaght; the Hoops meanwhile play Finn Harps and Sligo Rovers ahead of the showdown with Ruaidhri Higgins' men.

By then Shamrock Rovers could well have a new manager in the dugout.

On Tuesday Stephen Bradley confirmed to RTÉ Sport that he is set to open discussions with officials at the League One club Lincoln City.

The two-time Premier Division-winning boss has emerged as a target for Lincoln since the departure of Michael Appleton and a formal approach has been made.

In February Derry beat Shamrock Rovers 2-1 thanks to a 95th-minute winner from Jamie McGonigle.
