Sevilla closing in on deal for Manchester United youngster Mateo Mejia
Sevilla are close to agreeing a deal with Manchester United for youngster Mateo Mejia.
Mejia's contract expires at the end of the season and Sevilla are close to striking an agreement to sign him permanently on a free transfer.
The Manchester Evening News understands clauses will be built into the deal for United's benefit and an agreement with the Spanish club is getting closer. The forward has been free to negotiate with overseas clubs since the beginning of January.

The agreement will see Mejia join Sevilla when his contract with United expires in June. The youngster has played in the academy during his time in Manchester and hasn't made a first-team squad.
Mejia joined the club in the summer of 2019 from Real Zaragoza and he's made 12 appearances for the Under-21s this season, contributing three goals and five assists.
The 20-year-old only signed a contract extension with United last summer. He was born in Spain but is eligible to represent Columbia through his parents.
Alvaro Fernandez could also leave United permanently at the end of the season, with Benfica agreeing a deal to sign him on loan for the remainder of the campaign with an option to buy inserted.
Fernandez, 20, joined Granada on a season-long loan in the summer transfer window, but he's made just five league starts and he's been recalled ahead of his move to Benfica.
