Los Angeles Galaxy are reportedly interested in offering Sergio Ramos a Paris Saint-Germain escape route as the Spanish international continues to struggle in France.

Ramos joined PSG over the summer after more than a decade with Real Madrid, but injuries have restricted him to just a five appearances for Mauricio Pochettino's side.

The 35-year-old had to wait until November to make his debut for the Ligue 1 side after struggling with a calf problem at the start of the season, with former France defender Alain Roche describing Ramos as a "failed bet".

Calf problems also kept him out of PSG's last league game against Saint-Etienne, but reports in France suggest LA Galaxy are prepared to look past the injury record and offer him a way out of his French nightmare.

MLS clubs are allowed a maximum of three 'Designated Players (DPs),' who can earn money outside the league's salary cap.

The departure of Mexico international Jonathan dos Santos at the end of 2021 has freed up one of the Galaxy's slots, with the other two currently occupied by French youngster Kevin Cabral and former Manchester United striker Javier Hernandez.

According to Foot Mercato (via Get French Football News), Ramos is a contender for the vacant third slot with the club having reportedly contacted his entourage, and he could even move across the Atlantic before his PSG contract runs down in 2023.
