There were heavyweight clashes around Europe on Sunday night as Inter Milan closed on Serie A leaders AC Milan with a hard fought win at Juventus.

The Italian champions are aiming to chase down their city neighbours and are now within three points of the summit after beating Max Allegri's side. In France PSG put their recent troubles aside to ease past Lorient and close on another Ligue 1 title with the future of their manager Mauricio Pochettino still unclear.

Sergio Ramos, a summer signing who has barely featured this term, was booed by the home fans. In his homeland Barcelona recorded another notable win as they beat Sevilla, whose manager Julen Lopetegui is another man linked with a move to Manchester United.
