Sergio Aguero's Man City vs Manchester United derby prediction

Manchester City great Sergio Aguero expects Manchester United to put up a fight when they lock horns with his former club at Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon (3.30pm).

The Argentine, who scored a record 260 goals for City in his decade at the club, has fond memories from Manchester derbies he played in with eight goals in 13 top-flight games. Aguero also finished on the winning team seven times in those Premier League meetings.

City are odds-on favourites with most bookmakers to reign supreme against United on Sunday afternoon. But the Blues iconic ex-striker reckons it will be a tougher assignment than that suggests.

Speaking with Stake about the match, Aguero said: "It'll be a difficult game. Form will matter for sure, but City will have a good performance. I don't think United have ever been weak. They've always had great players and they've always shown that ability to recover from bad periods and get back into the fray.

"Derbies are special matches, always. They are quite intense as an experience. I'm lucky to have had good memories when we played against United and we had some major wins. I was able to score and those victories paved the way to win trophies, which is what matters the most."

The football season is now upon us and with 500 live games to watch, as well access to Cricket, Golf, F1, Boxing, NFL and the NBA across eight dedicated channels, Sky Sports is the only way to watch all the action.

"The one I remember most fondly is the first I played in. A very unusual scoreline, 6-1 at Old Trafford, and everything that carried along with it."
