Sergio Aguero makes Pep Guardiola admission following dramatic Premier League title triumph

Sergio Aguero believes retaining the services of Pep Guardiola will be key to Manchester City's continued domination in the Premier League.

The Blues knew only a win on the final day would secure them the Premier League title without having to rely on Liverpool's result against Wolves. After a horror 75 minutes, City were 2-0 down and felt their grip on the trophy loosening by the second.

However, Guardiola's inspired substitutions made the difference, with Gundogan's brace - either side of Rodri's strike - completing a stunning five-minute turnaround inside a rocking Etihad Stadium. It was simply only comparable with the events that unfolded in 2012.

The hero that day, Aguero, is now a Stake.com global ambassador and has been discussing a host of topics surrounding City and their incredible domination of the Premier League. The Argentine was quick to point out that the man at the helm is the reason for such consistency, and believes convincing him to stay for even longer will be 'key' to their continued success.

Aguero said: "It'd be ideal to give the project continuity and build upon the groundwork. City's style is a trademark, and Pep has been key to making it happen.

"I think the team is making history. In the past 10 years, City has claimed six Premier League titles and that's major. Things are coming together very well across many levels, and when that happens, success is closer to hand."
