Sergio Aguero Has Given An Interesting Answer In The Paul Scholes, Steven Gerrard And Frank Lampard Debate
Aguero was asked which player he prefers in a recent Twitter Q&A and he said Lampard immediately.
The former Manchester City striker played with Lampard for a season at the Etihad before he left the Premier League for New York City FC.
"You only need to look at his record since he came to City to appreciate what a class act he is and he was great to play with."
Could it be former teammate bias? Perhaps, but there's no denying Lampard was a world class player.
He won three Premier League titles and the Champions League with Chelsea and also became the club's record top goalscorer.
Meanwhile, Scholes won 11 Premier League titles and two Champions Leagues across two stints with United.
Scholes retired in 2011 but returned the following year with Sir Alex Ferguson short in midfield.
Gerrard never won the Premier League with Liverpool but inspired them to Champions League glory in 2005 while captain.
"Stevie G and Frank, of course," the 47-year-old told explained.
"I'm sick to death of hearing about this, to be honest. It doesn't really matter. People can have their own opinions.
"Them two were amazing, amazing players. But very different players."
