Sergej Milinkovic-Savic agent reveals Manchester United transfer desire with talks held

Sergej Milinkovic-Savic’s agent has confirmed the player has held talks with Manchester United over a possible move this summer.

The Lazio midfielder is a name that has been continually linked with United for some time now. The 27-year-old was touted for a move to Old Trafford back in 2019, and his name has cropped up on a regular basis ever since.

With United in need of bolstering their midfield this summer, Milinkovic-Savic speculation has reared its head again. With Nemanja Matic and Paul Pogba among those looking set to leave at the end of the current season, the middle of the park is set to be a priority for incoming manager Erik ten Hag.

And it looks as though the club have already made early efforts to make sure they don’t miss out on Milinkovic-Savic this time around. The Serbia international’s agent, Mateja Kezman, has revealed the player wants to make the move to Old Trafford, with Paris Saint-Germain also in the running.

“Sergej has no shortage of offers for the summer market,” Kezman told Foot01. “We are currently talking to Manchester United and Paris Saint-Germain. He is focused on the season finale with Lazio, but Sergej wants to go to Manchester United.”

Reports in Italy suggest Lazio will be looking for around €70million – around £59million – for Milinkovic-Savic this summer. The midfielder is under contract in Italy until 2024, but looks to have made his intentions to leave clear.

While United look to be the frontrunners for his signature, PSG do hold the advantage of being able to boast Champions League football next season. With the end of the season in sight, it won’t be long until Ten Hag gets down to work on
