The #senators are sending a draft pick to Vancouver in the Hamonic deal.
According to TSN Hockey Insider Darren Dreger and Postmedia's Bruce Garrioch, the Senators are acquiring the veteran defenceman from the Vancouver Canucks in exchange for a third-round pick.
The 31-year-old has three goals and four assists in 24 games so far this season, his second in Vancouver.
Hamonic is due $3 million in 2022-23 and is scheduled to become an unrestricted free agent following the season. TSN Hockey Insider Chris Johnston tweets there is no salary retained in the deal.
A native of St. Malo, Man., Hamonic has also spent time with the New York Islanders and Calgary Flames.
