Senegal Vs Egypt Africa Cup Of Nations Result

The 2022 Africa Cup Of Nations final between Senegal and Egypt went all the way to penalties in Cameroon.

Egypt made the final after knocking out the hosts on Thursday, following on from Senegal's 3-1 win over Burkina Faso the day before.

The contest, the 52nd in the tournament, was anything but a classic but featured a superb showing from Egypt's goalkeeper Mohamed Abou Gabal - more commonly known as 'Gabaski'.

Not even first-choice going into this tournament, the Zamalek shotstopper benefited from an injury and saved two penalties against Cameroon and continued his fine form with a superb performance in between the sticks.

With a helping hand from Mo Salah, he denied Sadio Mane from 12 yards when Senegal were awarded an early penalty and he made a number of stellar stops in 120 minutes.
