Mo Salah Brutally Rinsed By Referee In Africa Cup Of Nations Final After Complaining Over Decisions

Mo Salah was destroyed by Africa Cup Of Nations final referee Victor Gomes when he offered to let the Liverpool star take charge of the game.

Salah was beaten by club colleague Sadio Mane and Senegal, who won their first AFCON title thanks to a 4-2 penalty shoot-out victory.

Mane, having had a penalty saved early on, redeemed himself by scoring the winner from the spot in the shoot-out in Cameroon.

It was a frustrating night for Salah and he was overcome with emotion at the final whistle, with Mane consoling him in a touching moment.

And in the first half, Salah was rinsed by the match official when he was complaining over a decision.

Salah protested a yellow card for one of his teammates but Gomes was not having it whatsoever.

The South African sarcastically got his yellow cards and whistle out and went to hand them over to Salah, asking "Do you want to referee?".

Taking no messing about, Gomes was not bothered who Salah was in the slightest and told him exactly where to go.

In the previous round, Salah also had another fiery exchange with a referee as he again gave him a piece of his mind.

But officials in the AFCON are not like anything in the Premier League and the man in the middle went in on the former Chelsea forward.

Salah won't have too much time to dwell on the gutting loss, while Mane will also not be afforded a rest following on from the tournament.

Both are set to return to Liverpool immediately after spending the last month away in Cameroon.
