Season ticket discount deadline extended at Gillingham and kids go free for the 2022/23 season

Gillingham supporters have an extra week to purchase season tickets at a discounted price and there’s even better news for younger fans.

The Gills are offering all under-14s free admission to games next season when accompanied by a full paying adult and there’s an extra seven days to make savings on a season pass.

Gills’ early-bird season ticket deadline was set to expire this Tuesday (May 31) but the club have decided to extend the offer for another week, meaning savings of £45 on a new standard price adult season ticket in the Rainham End. There are even bigger savings to be had in the Medway Stand and Gordon Road Stand and for those renewing.

Adults renewing their season tickets can save between £75 and £90 in different areas of the ground if they purchase before the cut-off date, which is now at 5.01pm on Tuesday, June 7.

In addition, the club have announced that under-14s can attend home league matches for free with a full paying adult, senior citizen or young adult (18-21). The offer is for up to two kids per adult.

On the free admission, the club says: “This is to help make things easier for parents to bring their children to games, and to encourage younger supporters to come to Priestfield and cheer on the boys ahead of, what we hope will be, a successful season in Sky Bet League 2.”

Monday’s decision to extend the season ticket deadline came following “feedback from fans,” said the club. “We understand that many would prefer to come and see us in person to carry out their purchases following their respective start of month pay days, some of which coincide with the Jubilee Bank Holiday Weekend, and therefore we have decided to change the deadline and open the ticket office on Redfern Avenue on both Monday, June 6
