Sea of Thieves Season 7: Patch notes and everything we know so far
Sea of Thieves developer, Rare, unveiled Sea of Thieves Season 7, and its new Captaincy function, which could hint at future releases.
Season 7 follows suit with a “Captaincy” feature. Players in the pirate adventure game will be able to save ship loadouts, modify the captain’s cabin, and, finally, name their ship.
Sea of Thieves has transitioned into a seasonal model and has retained a steady following, and an upcoming update is bringing even more to the pirate simulator.
Rare confirmed numerous new improvements for Sea of Thieves Season 7 later this year during the Xbox and Bethesda Games Showcase.
Sea of Thieves Season 6 was released in March, and it included the anticipated Tall Tales, new raids, and a multitude of customization possibilities. With the debut of Season 7, Sea of Thieves players can expect new Tall Tales and cosmetics to make their pirate and ship appear more unique, just like Season 6.

New Captain’s Voyages are coming to the game. Taking on these new journeys appears to reward players with some of the mentioned cabin cosmetics. New “cash-in spots” are being implemented to make the process of turning in treasure even easier. Season 7 appears to be another blend of quality-of-life upgrades and brand-new experiences.
