Scott Wright issues Rangers plea to Gio van Bronckhorst as star reckons he's the man for RB Leipzig

Scott Wright has pleaded with Gio van Bronckhorst to let him off the leash in Leipzig and spearhead the Rangers Euro glory bid.

The Ibrox attacker is hoping he’s shown his gaffer he’s the right man for the job in Leipzig after making the most of his big moment in Motherwell.

Wright stole the show on a rare start at Fir Park as he bagged his first goal since Boxing Day to help ease the pain of losing front men Alfredo Morelos and Kemar Roofe at a key stage of the season.

Rangers are still in the hunt for the title but everything will now be launched at RB Leipzig in Thursday’s Europa League last four showdown.

Wright insists he can be the right man for the job as he said: “I’ve found opportunities hard to come by and all I’ve had to do is work hard in training, and when I’ve been called upon make sure I take my chance.
