Scott Williams dismisses rude Rob Cross gesture as he refuses to 'be an a**e' to his mate

Scott Williams has dismissed the lewd gesture that could land pal Rob Cross in darts bother. Instead, Shaggy turned his guns on a cameraman as he refused to be “an a**e” to his mate.

Cross sparked a social-media trial after being accused of the act at the Ally Pally during their World Championship second round match. The 2018 champ was walking off the stage at the end of the second set with the Sky TV cameras following his walk to the steps. As he did so, the Londoner glanced back out towards the area housing the crowd and made a motion which was captured by the cameras.

Immediately, a clip of the gesture was shared and spread across social-media with various individuals claiming it was of a rude nature. Williams brushed it off and said: “Firstly, I wasn’t aware of anything. Secondly, regardless of what he did, I don’t really care. I’ve just played one of my best, closest pals for £10,000.
