Scott McKenna BANISHED from Nottingham Forest training as ex Rangers star also ostracised in brutal transfer message

Scott McKenna has reportedly been BANISHED from Nottingham Forest training in a brutal transfer message from the Premier League side.

And the Scotland cap is not alone with fellow Forest defender and former Rangers star Joe Worrall, who has been a stalwart for the club making over 200 appearances since joining in 2016, also told to train away from the first team. McKenna will have ambitions of keeping in Steve Clarke's good books as he vies to be on the plane for Germany and Euro 2024 next summer. But according to the Mail Online, the duo have been instructed to train on different pitches and to report to daily training at a different time than the rest of the squad.

It's a bold message from Steve Cooper and the Forest hierarchy, which includes former Rangers Sporting Director Ross Wilson, as the pair of central defenders have reportedly been told they can leave in the upcoming January window. The report states Forest have not confirmed if the ostracisation is due to with any behavioural issues or rows.

McKenna and Worrall both played integral roles in helping Forest to promotion two seasons ago, with the former's old club Aberdeen no doubt keeping an eye out for a potential sell-on clause should the 27-year-old move in the next window. The decision from above comes as the pairing have made just eleven league appearances between them.

Reports suggest boss Cooper is under pressure at the City Ground, with Forest sitting precariously in 16th but six points from the drop, and that this weekend's clash with Wolves could be his last in charge if he doesn't get a result.
