Scott Brown gave Celtic exit NO consideration as he reveals 2 reasons for Parkhead endgame

Scott Brown admits it was NOT a huge consideration to leave Celtic due to TWO key factors that he knew deep down meant his time was up.

The legendary Hoops skipper enjoyed a trophy-laden career in Glasgow's east end but knew at 36, his time was up as he called time on his glittering spell to take on a new path at Aberdeen. The was a player-coach role after Stephen Glass added him to his background team, while look to his experience on the park. However, it didn't all go to plan with the Ayr United boss confessing his brain would tell him one thing, but his body couldn't keep up as he detailed his move to playing sweeper.

Asked about leaving Celtic and how it all came about, he told the Scottish Football podcast: "There was no consideration for me, I was going. I was getting too old and fragile. "The only problem was me probably. I just couldn't get about compared to what my brain wanted me to do. At the same time I was 36, I was still fit running in straight lines but my hip started to slowly cause me problems. I ended up playing sweeper for them.

"Sweeper worked quite well as I am quite calm on the ball, didn't have to run as much
