Scotland squad announcement LIVE as Steve Clarke gets set for Ukraine date with destiny

The waiting is almost over. The day we've all been waiting for is nearly here.

In just over a week's time, Scotland will take on Ukraine as we look to take a huge step towards Qatar 2022.

1998 was the last time the Scots went to a World Cup and Steve Clarke would love to be the man that ends that wait before it hits the 30-year mark.

He has some big decisions to make to get there though especially with a worrying injury list creating some selection headaches.

The squad announcement will be a revealing one as Kieran Tierney, Nathan Patterson and Billy Gilmour all look touch and go.

But if there's any chance that key trio will be fit for either Ukraine or a potential playoff final with Wales on 5 June then they will likely be included.

Other than that it's a mostly settled squad with the bulk of the group who drew with Poland and Austria set to be involved again.
