Scotland Euro 2024 Group A tracker as Hungary fire 3 goals in 11 minutes while Switzerland show powers of recovery

Scotland played their final fixture last night ahead of jetting out for Euro 2024.

And now their Group A rivals have all finished their preparations. Hosts Germany - who Steve Clarke's men open the tournament against on Friday night with the eyes of the world on the Allianz Arena - came back from a goal down on Friday night to dump Greece 2-1 to head into the competition with a confidence boosting win under their belt. It was a different story for the Tartan Army who watched on as the Dark Blues chucked away a two-goal lead to share the spoils with Finland at the Hampden farewell party.

It was the turn of Hungary and Switzerland to play tonight and both showed what they have to offer - and the threats they could pose the national team for different reasons. Hungary showed a ruthless 11 minutes as they scored THREE times past Israel to put the game out of sight with just over 20 minutes on the clock. It was a different story for the Swiss who fell behind early on to Austria but they hit back with a first half leveller to make sure they signed off from the pre-finals matches without defeat.

Speaking post match at Hampden after Scotland's draw with Finland, Clarke said: It was good, a little bit disappointing towards the end. The game gets a little bit disjointed when you make subs. It's no reflection of the boys on the pitch, you just lose a little bit of concentration. Up until then I thought we controlled the game.

"To get to that stage of the game was good, we defended well, Angus didn't have too much to do. Eventually the two goals came so it was good. We are a good team, we've proved that over the last couple of years. We're looking forward to the tournament now."
