Scarlets v Connacht live updates: Kick-off time, TV details, team news and all the action

The Scarlets will be looking for their first victory since New Year’s Day when they play hosts to Connacht in the United Rugby Championship tonight (7.35pm).

Their last three games have brought defeats to Bordeaux-Begles, Bristol and Ulster, so Dwayne Peel’s men will be eager to get back to winning ways.

They welcome back international centre Johnny Williams for his first game of rugby since he started for Wales against Fiji in mid-November.

The 25-year-old has recovered from the calf muscle injury which has kept him out for three months and will form a midfield partnership who Scott Williams, who also returns to captain the side.

Aaron Shingler comes into the back row, while Tom Rogers features on the wing, having recovered from the alarming head knock he sustained against Ulster three weeks ago.

Kieran Hardy provides scrum-half cover on the bench, having been released from Wales’ Six Nations squad, while fly-half Jack Carty and hooker Dave Heffernan come in from the Ireland camp for Connacht.

The Scarlets are without 19 players in all, six away on international duty and 13 on the injury list. Scotland’s Mike Adamson referees the match ahead of taking charge of England v Wales next week.

This evening’s game will be shown live on S4C and Premier Sports, but if you can’t get in front of a TV you can follow the action via our live blog.
