Saturday sport: Dublin face Galway in quarter-finals, Euro 2024 reaches last 16 stage

The All-Ireland Football Championship reaches the quarter-final stages this afternoon.

Roscommon are seeking a first championship win at Croke Park since 1980.

That win came against Armagh, who are their opponents today in the last eight-tie at HQ from 4pm.

That is followed by Dublin vs Galway from 6.15pm.

The final round of group matches in the Glen Dimplex All Ireland Camogie Championship take place this afternoon.

Tipperary lead the way in Group One - they play Kilkenny in The Ragg from 4pm.

At the same time, Waterford take on Derry and Limerick face Antrim.

In Group Two, Cork play Galway at Páirc Uí Chaoimh, while Down face Dublin and Clare play Wexford.

Euro 2024 reaches the knockout stages this evening.

First up, defending champions Italy take on Switzerland in their last-16 tie in Berlin from 5pm.

Host country Germany face Denmark for a place in the quarter-finals, with a 8pm kickoff in Dortmund.

It is Day 1 of the National Senior Track and Field Championships at Morton Stadium in Dublin.

Phil Healy won her heat in the women's 200-metres - she will go in the final just after 2pm.

Oisin Lane took gold in the men's 10-thousand metre walk, with his Mullingar teammate Matthew Glennon taking bronze.

Joe Mooney of Adamstown picked up silver.

Thomas Barr continues his push for an Olympic spot in the 400-metre hurdles - the heats get underway at 5:25pm.
