Sasha Banks: Fee for The Boss' convention appearance revealed

Sasha Banks’ WWE may still be up in the air, but there’s a future in conventions for her – judging by the fee for first post WWE walkout appearance. 

We haven’t seen Banks on WWE TV since the infamous walkout with Naomi before the May 16th Monday Night Raw show. Reports have suggested that the 30-year-old has since been released from the company, however, there’s been no official release on her current employment. 

It was however, announced this week that Banks will be making his first public appearance since walking out of WWE. Under her real name of Mercedes Varnado, she will be a guest at the Chicago C2E2 this coming August. 

In the promotion for the appearance, there is no mention of WWE, just a credit for her role as ‘Sasha Banks’ alongside her work for Star Wars spin-off The Mandalorian. 

A report from Fightful Select has now revealed Varnado’s asking price for the convention and it suggests that the former women’s world champion really knows her worth. 

Banks is said to be charging $30,000 for the convention, which was apparently ‘exactly as expected’ based on the demand for the star who left WWE on her own terms, hasn’t appeared any other conventions and has a rabid fan base behind her. 

The report also notes that Sasha will be one of the most in-demand ‘just of TV’ stars and her fee is comparable to the same fee as Sting. In facts according to promoter Fightful spoke to, only Ric Flair, Goldberg, Shawn Michaels, and Hulk Hogan demand a higher fee than The Boss. 

This follows an earlier report stating that a number of wrestling related conventions have reached out to Banks, but she has so far said she’d she’ll be only taking non-wrestling related bookings until January 2023.
