'Same rubbish' - Lee Bowyer blasts Birmingham City after Derby County draw
Lee Bowyer tore into his Birmingham City side after they conceded two goals in the final seven minutes to let Derby County salvage a 2-2 draw at Pride Park.
Blues were coasting at 2-0 with goals from Lyle Taylor and Scott Hogan - only to be pegged back as Luke Plange pulled one back and Krystian Bielik equalised with the last kick of the game.
That left Bowyer raging, particularly after seeing his side miss so many chances to put the match to bed.
“That game should have been finished, done. We’re missing too many chances," Bowyer said.
"[I’m] saying the same rubbish every time - miss chance after chance, don’t put games to bed, invite pressure at the end, silly fouls in silly areas, unnecessary, balls coming into the box, defend it properly, put your body on the line.
