Romelu Lukaku had a disastrous first season back at Chelsea.

The Blues re-signed the Belgian for a club record £97.5 million fee in July 2021. They were hoping he would be their main man for many years to come.

Lukaku started the 2021/22 campaign on fire but injuries derailed his progress.

Just months after joining, Lukaku then questioned Thomas Tuchel’s tactics and suggested he wanted to move back to Inter Milan in a remarkable interview.

He finished the season with just eight Premier League goals.
