Saint Lucia's Julien Alfred storms to Olympic women's 100-metre title
Saint Lucia's Julien Alfred is the fastest woman in the world.
The 23-year-old won the 100 metres at the Paris Olympics on Saturday, crossing the finish line in a national-record time of 10.72 seconds.
American Sha'Carri Richardson, the reigning world champion, scored silver at 10.87 seconds while Melissa Jefferson, also of the U.S., rounded out the podium with bronze at 10.92.
