Sadio Mane has made his affection for the Liverpool staff known after sending packages to all the club's employees.

That covers some 150 people, whose roles range from security guards to the tea ladies. The Senegal star recently left Anfield after six seasons and joined Bayern Munich but has departed with a touching gesture. The packages each included a hand written card as well as chocolates and a portrait of Mane, according to Bild.

The forward enjoyed huge success during his time on Merseyside having joined from Southampton in the summer of 2016. Mane was Jurgen Klopp's first major signing and helped them win the Premier League and Champions League during his time, which saw him score 120 times.

But with his contract winding down Mane has opted to pursue a new challenge in Germany. He moved for over £30m and will help the Bavarians as they look to continue dominating domestically following the departure of Robert Lewandowski.

Already Mane has scored twice for his new employers, who have won both their Bundesliga games thus far. However his feeling for Liverpool remains strong and, in an exit interview, he made that clear whilst maintaining he will now be the club's "No 1 fan" going forward.
