Sadio Mane kickstarts Rangers transfer jeopardy as Malik Tillman lands Bayern Munich reprieve amid fire sale

Rangers may be made to wait on a potential windfall from Bayern Munich's sale of Malik Tillman - with Thomas Tuchel reportedly giving the playmaker a second chance in Bavaria.

The news comes with the Bundesliga champions plotting a major clearout of their first-team squad following a less dominant campaign than previous years - which narrowly saw them claim the German title after a dramatic final day slip up from Borussia Dortmund. The likes of attacking midfielder Sadio Mane will be moved on after a disastrous move from Liverpool last summer - reports German outlet Bild - which could leave an opening for the USA international in Munich next term.

Leroy Sane and Serge Gnabry could also be heading out of the door and former Chelsea and Paris Saint-Germain boss Tuchel is assessing his options ahead of the new campaign. Tillman was handed a chance to train with the first-team during the first day of pre-season training with the 21-year-old's future up in the air this summer.

A delay in a sale could be bad news for Rangers after the Scottish Premiership side saw their option to buy bought out by Bayern at the end of the campaign.
