Sabrina Ionescu gifts Iowa Sabrina 1 sneakers ahead of Final Four - ESPN

Although Caitlin Clark has sported a nostalgic pair of Nike Kobes throughout her senior season and wore a Bruce Lee colorway of the Kobe 5s in the Elite Eight against the LSU Tigers, her footwear might look a bit different during the NCAA women's tournament Final Four.

On Wednesday, New York Liberty guard Sabrina Ionescu paid the No.1-seeded Iowa Hawkeyes a visit to offer a token of her appreciation for Iowa's performance on the highest stage of college basketball. She left the team with words of wisdom about how it should be proud of what it has achieved as a team and the impact it has made on the sport.

«Be proud of how you guys represented yourself, represented your team, and what you've done for everyone, not just Iowa basketball,» Ionescu told the team.

In addition to her visit, Ionescu, 26, gifted the team a pair of her signature «Exclamat!on» Nike Sabrina 1 sneakers.

Surprise, Surprise!

Iowa, a Nike-sponsored program, was also gifted with Final Four gear, including Nike Tech sweatpants, sweatshirts, team bags and signature «Cleveland» long-sleeved shirts.

The Hawkeyes will face the No. 3-seeded UConn Huskies on Friday at 9 p.m. ET.
