SA's Kevin Lerena wins IBO heavyweight title
South African boxer Kevin Lerena is the new IBO Intercontinental Heavyweight champion after he defeated Mariusz Wach of Poland in Johannesburg on Saturday.

Lerena, in only his second fight in the heavyweight division, won by unanimous decision over 12 rounds.
The 30-year-old dominated the scorecard with two judges giving him a 120-108 win and the third scoring the fight to Lerena, 118-110.

Before the fight, Lerena said he was working towards a goal of fighting in the United Kingdom, preferably at Wembley or the O2 arena.
"There are no limits for Lerena, and he knows he is on a winning streak," said his manager, Peter Smith.
