SA hooker joins English club London Irish

London Irish posted on their website on Tuesday that Van Rooeyn has joined the club with immediate effect for the remainder of the 2021/22 season.

The 25-year-old has tested his skills across a variety of competitions, including the Provincial Cup with Blue Bulls, the PRO14 with Southern Kings, and the Currie Cup with Griquas.

"Alandre provides more competition for places at hooker, and we are happy that he has agreed to join the club," director of rugby Declan Kidney said.

"He has good experience across several competitions, and we look forward to seeing what he can do in a London Irish jersey."
