SA-born Keaton Jennings features in England Lions squad for 4-day clash against Proteas

England selectors have picked 13 cricketers to face South Africa in a four-day match in Canterbury, starting on 9 August.

The match will serve as the tourists' warm-up game in advance of first Test against England at Lord's from 17 August.

The England Lions, effectively England 'A', will be coached by Paul Collingwood, who is an assistant coach to the England national side.

The squad includes SA-born former England Test opener Keaton Jennings, who is the son of former Proteas coach Ray Jennings.

Jennings, 30, played 17 Tests for England between 2016 and 2019 but averaged just 25.19 with the bat.
