SA-born Ireland lock joins Johann van Graan's Bath

South African-born Ireland lock Quinn Roux has joined English club Bath ahead of the 2022/23 season.

The 31-year-old, who has played 16 Tests for Ireland, joins Johann van Graan's Bath from French outfit Toulon.

Roux, who was born in Pretoria and schooled at Affies, started his professional career at Western Province in 2011. He also played Super Rugby for the Stormers before moving to Leinster in Ireland in 2012.

Roux switched to Connacht in 2014 where he made over 100 appearances and also made his Ireland debut in 2016.

He moved to France in 2021 and featured on 14 occasions for the Top 14 outfit in his debut campaign.

"Quinn is a class lineout operator who offers great physicality to our options in the second row," Van Graan told Bath Rugby's official website.

"He is an established international with strong rugby experience and we are delighted to have someone of his pedigree on board."
