S Club 7 star Paul Cattermole dies aged 46

Singer with S Club 7 legend Paul Cattermole has been found dead at home, it has been reported. The tragic news comes just weeks before the band were due to take part in a reunion tour.

The 46-year-old singer was with his fellow bandmates on The One Show last month when they announced they were reunited. A statement from Paul's family and bandmates said: "It is with great sadness that we announce the unexpected passing of our beloved son and brother Paul Cattermole.

"Paul was found yesterday, April 6, 2023, at his home in Dorset and was pronounced dead later that afternoon. While the cause of death is currently unknown Dorset Police has confirmed that there were no suspicious circumstances.

"Paul’s family, friends, and fellow members of S Club request privacy at this time."

Brit Award winners S Club 7, famous for hits such as Reach and Don't Stop Movin', were due to visit Cardiff on a tour schedule to start later this year. The group, which consists of Bradley McIntosh, Hannah Spearritt, Jo O'Meara, Jon Lee, Rachel Stevens, and Tina Barrett alongside Cattermole, were scheduled to perform at Cardiff International Arena on October 23.

A statement on the S Club social media accounts said: "We are truly devastated by the passing of our brother Paul. There are no words to describe the deep sadness and loss we all feel.

"We were so lucky to have had him in our lives and are thankful for the amazing memories we have. He will be so deeply missed by each and every one of us. We ask that you respect the privacy of his family and of the band at this time."
