Rylan supports Mae Muller as she returns from post-Eurovision silence with admission

Rylan Clark was quick to show his support for Mae Muller after she returned to social media following a period of silence following the Eurovision Song Contest. It's almost a week since the singer represented the UK in the world's biggest music competition as it was held in the UK for the first time in 25 years.

The 67th edition of the contest took place in Liverpool at the M&S Bank Arena on behalf of the Ukraine where the event would have traditionally been held after Kalush Orchestra stormed to victory in Turin back in May 2022. But the ongoing Russian invasion resulted in the European Broadcasting Union (EBU) deciding it was not a 'viable option' for the country to host the contest.

But it was a disappointing night for the host city as the UK only managed to rack up 24 points - a whopping 559 less than Loreen who won Eurovision 2023 for Sweden - leaving Mae second from last on the leaderboard.

In the early hours of the morning on Sunday (May 14) as the news settled in, Mae broke her silence and wrote on social media platform: "I just want to say thank u x I know I joke a lot but we really put our all into the last few months, not the result we hoped for but so proud of everyone & what we achieved on this journey."

She has since been absent from social media but returned on Wednesday evening (May 17) and made an admission about how the last few days had been for her.

After sharing her joy at a campaign from her fans to get her track, I Wrote A Song, into the top ten, 25-year-old Mae tweeted: "I took a little minute off twitter cos i was having a menty b but the bitch is back and it’s just the beginning <3 love u guys so much."
