Ryanair issues ‘brutal’ response over passenger’s legroom complaint

Ryanair is known for its budget-friendly prices and cheap flight deals. It achieves its low fares by offering a no-frills experience with customers paying extra for aspects such as baggage and seat allocation.

Although many Ryanair travellers know what to expect when flying with the airline, for some it can still take them by surprise. One disgruntled passenger recently posted on X about the legroom situation on board.

X user @LordMakenzi wrote: “@Ryanair I’ll come with my own legroom next time.” Ryanair, which has a reputation for issuing tongue-in-cheek social media posts, responded to it and said: “come with your own plane next time.”

The post has amassed more than 100,000 likes and 600 comments, with many X users pointing out how savage the response was. @adielivingitup said: “Ryanair Air customer service is brutal” while @BlyssfulTravels added: “Ooo whoever is behind this account is sassssy.”

@D3kingg124529 wrote: “A comeback today is better than a good one tomorrow” and @pmcafrica said: “This admin don’t give a damn.” Another pointed out that maybe the passenger could simply ‘uncross’ his legs. @leerusselluk wrote: “Uncross your legs and that will help!”

One X user said they’re happy flying with Ryanair, but draw the line if they ever start charging to use the toilet. @Molibar wrote: “Ryanair is the only airline I wholeheartedly recommend. Always on time, always cheap, and comfortable enough for me, but if you start charging for the toilets I'm breaking up with you!”

The airline does offer extra legroom seats, which are priced at £11-33. The fee depends on the dates of your flight and the route you're travelling on.
