Ryan Thomas was told 'you had one job' by his daughter as he revealed his 'fail' after they shared a 'proud' moment together when marking the New Year. The actor enjoyed marking the end of 2023 and welcoming in 2024 with his eldest daughter, Scarlett.

They were hosted by one of Ryan's pals alongside his fiancee Lucy Mecklenburgh and their two children Roman and Lilah, as well as other guests including former Made In Chelsea and Celebrity Big Brother star Ashley James.

As they enjoyed the evening, Scarlett was seen providing the party guests with some entertainment. The Waterloo Road actress is also a talented singer and her former Coronation Street star dad was heard trying to join her in a rendition of Part of Your World from the Little Mermaid.

Ryan didn't perform the whole song with his teenage daughter, who he shares with Corrie actress ex Tina O'Brien, but instead listened in awe as she belted out the Disney film track. Some of the moment was filmed by Ashley who shared the clip to her Instagram Story and typed: "The face of a proud dad right there."

After sharing his own videos, and resharing Ashley's, of the sing-song, Ryan shared another sweet moment as he embraced her while watching the New Year fireworks together.

But on New Year's Day, it appears Ryan disappointed Scarlett, who joined her uncle Adam Thomas in the BBC's Waterloo Road last year playing his daughter Izzy, as he tried to cook her up a little snack.
