Ryan Kent ignites Fenerbahce rage as diehards wonder if 'there a football player as bad' after Danish mauling

Ryan Kent has been hit with Fenerbahce fury after playing his part in an embarrasing 6-1 defeat to Danish side FC Nordsjælland.

The Turkish giants signed the winger after his lengthy spell at Rangers came to an end this summer, and while his Super Lig minutes have been limited, he's had heavy involvement in their Europa Conference League campaign. But their fate in Group H now goes down to the final day after being hit for six by the Scandiavians, which has sparked major backlash.

They are in third and outside a knockout round spot heading into a clash with Spartak Trnava later this month and Kent has not been spared the backlash. One fan wrote "This team won't work with Ryan Kent, Cengiz Under and (Miguel) Crespo it's a complete disaster." But another was particularly furious with the result in Denmark, brutally asking "Is there a football player as bad as Ryan Kent?"

Another claimed "I don't think either Ryan Kent or Cengiz will contribute to this team." One punter fumed "Why does Ryan Kent play like he's upset with football?" The winger was subbed after 74 minutes with his team 4-1 down, with little impact on the game and his teammates conceding another two before the sorry night was over.

It comes in the wake of more claims that Kent will be leaving Turkey less than a year into his stay. Rangers had been mooted as a possible landing spot but he appears unlikely to link up with Philippe Clement.

Turkish media have suggested that both the former Rangers man and Joshua King are "expected" to leave next month. And Lech' Poznan's Kristoffer Velde could come in to replace him.
