RWC tickets still available, but would you fork out R25 000 to watch Boks tackle Ireland?

Tickets for the Rugby World Cup are still up for grabs, but fans wanting to watch their favourite team in action will have to fork out considerable amounts.

A small number of tickets are still available on the official Rugby World Cup website, but for those wanting the option of getting a ticket to all 48 matches, hospitality sites may be the most viable option.

Those, however, come at a hefty price.

The original Rugby World Cup prices ranged between €10 (around R200) and €550 (R11 000) for the pool stages and €75 (R1 500) to €950 (R19 500) for the knockout rounds.

For resale sites, the prices still vary depending on the match but are considerably higher.

Their asking price for South Africa's blockbuster Pool B match against Ireland at the Stade de France on 23 September is now selling from R25 477 per ticket.

Original ticket prices for the South Africa-Ireland game ranged from €75 (R1 500 - Category 4) to €300 (R6 100 - Category 1).

For a hospitality ticket, South Africa's match against Romania in Bordeaux next Sunday (17 September) sells from R16 985 and their final pool game against Tonga in Marseille on 1 October from R20 169.

The original ticket prices for the Romania game ranged from €28 (R570 - Category 4) to €116 (R2 300 - Category 1) and for the Tonga game from €40 (R815 - Category 4) to €176 (R3 500 - Category 1).
