Rugby league fans lose it after Bureta Faraimo's controversial sin bin

Rugby league fans have gone into meltdown after Bureta Faraimo's yellow card in Castleford.

The Tigers winger was sin binned for a tackle on Hull KR fullback Will Dagger, and it's fair to say fans weren't happy.

Faraimo was chasing a high kick and launched himself in for a tackle on Will Dagger, dropped to a low height to make the tackle.

Unfortunately, Dagger dropped down as he caught the ball, resulting in Faraimo making slight, but minimal, contact with the head.

But despite that, Faraimo was given his marching orders, which saw a barrage of viewers head to social media.

Many of them were players of past and present.

Former Castleford Tigers halfback and current Doncaster halfback Ben Johnston said: "The top players need to take a stand against this madness. The greatest game of all is being ruined by those making the rules. Sad, sad times for RL."

Another former Tiger, current Warrington centre Peter Mata'utia added: "Tough call that, penalty at best."

John Stankevitch, a Grand Final and World Club Challenge winner with St Helens, also joined in, saying: "Do the rule makers in #Rugbyleague not understand that human beings cannot pull out of rugby tackles or completely change defensive body position in a tenth of a second when running at full speed?"

Batley halfback Ben White joined the debate.
