‘Only one player’ - Birmingham City fans fume after loss to promotion chasing Huddersfield

Birmingham City fans have given their reaction to this afternoon’s game against Huddersfield Town.

The Terriers came out as 2-0 winners thanks to first-half goals from Levi Colwill and Lewis O’Brien with Blues unable to reduce the deficit in the second half.

The game also saw striker Lyle Taylor pick up an injury in the warm-up with Maxime Colin also having to leave the pitch in the first half after going down, leaving Lee Bowyer with just one fit centre-back available.

The defeat leaves Birmingham in 19th place in the Championship table, although they are 15 points clear of Barnsley in 22nd position.

Following the loss against Huddersfield, Blues fans have given their immediate thoughts after the full-time whistle.

Here is just some of what they had to say.

: Only one player looked like making a difference today and that was Onel. Schoolboy defending which can only be expected from midfielders playing out of position - we need to get to the bottom of this injury crisis…

: Taylor gets injured, Bacuna has a poor game, and we're rubbish. Shame we're so reliant on everyone being 100% all the time. #bcfc

: Decision not to sign any defenders is killing any chance of progress this season #BCFC #BSHLOUT

: Next season we'll rebuild. Then finish 19th and claim that the season after will be the rebuild, and the dross will continue for another 10 years. Can't defend. Embarrassing (self-inflicted) injury record. Deserve to be relegated this season, farcical that we will survive-again

: Injuries costed us badly today. Two gifted goals and that was it. Only Barnsley winning below but need to get these players back asap and take care of our own matters. Get Roberts,

Taylor and Mengi back for next Saturday Up the Bowyer!!
