Rudi Skacel teases Hearts return with big hint ahead of Gary Locke testimonial clash

Hearts hero Rudi Skacel has teased that a return to Edinburgh could be on the way as Gary Locke's testimonial match draws closer.

The Jambos host English Championship side Stoke City later this month as part of their preparations ahead of the new Premiership campaign and busy European schedule. Robbie Neilson's side face a Europa League play-off match later this summer but even defeat in that will see them parachute into the Europa Conference League group stages until Christmas.

It also being played on July 23 to honour their former captain, manager and now club ambassador for all of his contributions to the Gorgie cause. Skacel was a player in Edinburgh when Locke was on the coaching staff of both Jim Jefferies and Paulo Sergio, going on to win the Scottish Cup in 2012 with the latter. They know each other well and a reunion could be taking place soon.

Taking a picture of his gym ahead a workout, the maroon icon added the caption "#biggamecomingup" next to the Hearts badge.

Skacel is a bona fide Hearts club legend after claiming two Scottish Cup winners' medals in 2006 and 2012 respectively, enjoying two spells after initially joining on loan from Marseille in 2005.

His former club are in the midst of their pre-season training before the new campaign kicks off against Ross County on July 30th.
