Ruben Neves responds to Europe question as Wolves battle Arsenal and West Ham

Ruben Neves admitted Wolverhampton Wanderers' main focus is to go "game by game" as they aim to secure European football.

The Wanderers beat Leicester City 2-1 at Molineux on Sunday afternoon and are just two points off fifth-placed West Ham.

Neves returned to the scoresheet early in the first half as he netted the opener, before Daniel Podence sealed the result with a strike in the second half.

Amid all the talks regarding Wolves' strong campaign and their chances of sealing a top-five finish to guarantee European football next season, Neves said after the game: "We just want to go game by game, that’s our main goal. Our main target is to win every single game until the end.

"That’s why we’re working a lot. Doesn’t matter the opponent, doesn’t matter the stadium, we will try to win the game and that’s what we did today."

The former Porto man admitted he felt it was not his side's best performance but their "mentality brought us the three points".

"I think it was a really hard game for us. Leicester played well - they have a lot of quality, we knew that before the game," Neves added.

"I think our mentality brought us three points today. I think when we need to win like this, even if we don’t play like we want to play, it’s really good. Fantastic win for us, massive three points - we just want to keep it going.

"I think we didn’t play our game today but it was like these kind of points are important. We know that will happen sometimes, sometimes we will just not play our game but you need to win with your strength, with your mentality and we did that today so maybe one of the worst games playing football this season but we were awarded with the three points because we run a lot, fight a lot and I think we deserve the
