Ruben Neves and Raul Jimenez ruled out, Nakamba back training - Aston Villa vs Wolves team news

Aston Villa will lock horns against West Midlands rivals Wolverhampton Wanderers next weekend. Steven Gerrard'e men can cut the gap between them and Wolves down to seven points with a win at Molineux.

Villa will go into that one off the back of defeats to West Ham and Arsenal while, for Wolves, they won two and lost two from their previous four fixtures. It's going to be a packed-out crowd in WV1 next week and, ahead of the 3pm kick-off, here's the very latest team news from both teams.

Gerrard is set to welcome back Lucas Digne (hamstring) and Kortney Hause (abdominal) next week. Digne is back in full training with France while Hause will link back up with the Villa group at Bodymoor at the beginning of next week. The head coach will, however, be cautious with regards to Marvelous Nakamba.

The Zimbabwean will return to full training next week as he bids for a return for the first time since December following knee ligament damage. Nakamba, 28, could play in Villa's under-23s match with Stoke City the night before Villa travel to the Black Country ahead of his full return for Spurs a week after Wolves on April 9.

Bruno Lage has already been dealt with some bad hands ahead of hosting Villa. Raul Jimenez is suspended after being sent off in the defeat to Leeds while, this week, the club confirmed that Ruben Neves will now miss the next six weeks at least after sustaining knee ligament damage.

Former Liverpool full-back Ki-Jana Hoever is also ruled out with a thigh problem. Wolves could, however, welcome back Nelson Semedo and Pedro Neto from their respective thigh and knee injuries.
