Ruben Amorim 'gets Manchester United transfer green light' to solve huge problem
Manchester United are reported to have submitted an offer for Girona ace Miguel Gutierrez as Ruben Amorim looks to build his dream squad.
According to journalist S Montero (via TEAMTALK), United have sent a very lucrative proposal to the La Liga side as they push to sign Gutierrez. He has a reported £29m release clause in his contract.
The Spanish left-back had transferred to Girona in 2022 for around £4m. However, parent club Real Madrid still holds 50% of his economic rights. Los Blancos also have a buy-back clause in 2025 for Gutierrez where they could take him for just £8m.

Journalist Rudy Galetti has also reported that Sir Jim Ratcliffe's club are in talks with Girona to sign their left-back for a lower fee than his release clause states. They have also apparently made certain to Gutierrez that he will be a regular starter with United.
The Spaniard has a current weekly wage of less than £10,000 a week and move to Old Trafford would guarantee a sharp increase in pay. Wages at United could be massively freed up if a player like Marcus Rashford, who has been linked with a departure, leaves the club.
Girona has reportedly given the green light on a move for the left-back. The finances involved are sure to take a substantial amount of time to figure out, especially with Madrid still being involved with Gutierrez.
It could get even more complicated, and maybe a little awkward, as United officials would have to converse with Manchester City's owners as they own a 47% stake in GIrona.
