Ruben Amorim could be given transfer green light as Manchester United 'eye' reunion

There is less than one week of the January transfer window remaining, with eyes on potential incomings and outgoings at Old Trafford over the next six days.

For Ruben Amorim, eyes will also be on on the pitch matters. United are in action twice before the window closes on Monday, February 3 (11pm).

They will be looking to build on a 1-0 win against Fulham in their Premier League clash on Sunday night. A return to European action is on the cards on Thursday when the team travel to FCSB in the final group game of the tournament.

After that, it’s back to Old Trafford on Sunday afternoon (2pm) for the visit of Crystal Palace. As Amorim prepares his squad for those games, MEN Sport has looked at some of the stories doing the rounds and also given our own thoughts.

The future of Alejandro Garnacho will have a big impact on any potential incomings at Old Trafford between now and the end of the transfer window, according to Sky Sports. Chelsea are now the most heavily linked with the winger, with Amorim not ruling out a sale between now and deadline day.

Should they decide to cash in on the Argentine, then it could ‘help’ the club with bringing players in as Amorim looks to shape his squad.

MEN Sport says: United have a decision to make over Garnacho, would they rather keep the winger, which makes it harder to do any incoming business, or do they cash in to be able to bring other players to the club. If they go with the latter, then they will want the move to completed quickly, the closer to the end of the window any potential deal happens, the less time United will have to do any incoming business of their own - they don’t want it to come down to the wire and miss out on potential targets if it drags out.
