Ruben Amorim can do something Erik ten Hag failed to do at Manchester United
Former Valenciennes assistant manager Joao Nuno Fonseca has already offered an insight into the style of play Ruben Amorim could try and implement at Manchester United.
Sporting Lisbon chief Amorim, 39, is the favourite to replace Erik ten Hag at Old Trafford after the Dutchman was sacked on Monday, bringing his two-and-a-half-year tenure to a close.
As reported by the Manchester Evening News on Monday evening, Amorim has agreed a deal in principle to become United's next manager.

Amorim has a lot of credit in the bank after four successful years at Sporting and is considered to be one of the most promising coaches in European football. He was linked with replacing Jurgen Klopp at Liverpool earlier this year and had been earmarked as a potential replacement for Pep Guardiola at Manchester City.
Amorim's stock is continuing to rise as a result of Sporting sitting pretty at the top of Liga Portugal with nine wins from nine matches so far this season. They have plundered 30 goals, conceding just two.
Often deploying a 3-4-3 formation that can become a 3-4-2-1, Amorim has implemented a front-foot style at Sporting, hence their lofty position in the Portuguese top flight.
A key part of that is Sporting's ability to dictate the play and control matches; they have had 65.11 per cent of possession on average in each of their opening nine league games this term. As a caveat, however, it goes without saying that Sporting are one of the dominant forces in Portugal.
Nevertheless, Amorim's desire to have the ball and dictate
