RTÉ to screen Ireland's crunch Olympic qualifier live

Ireland's Olympic hockey qualifier semi-final against Spain will be shown live on the RTÉ News channel and RTÉ Player on Thursday.

Sean Dancer's side claimed a crucial 3-1 victory over South Korea for a semi-final spot at the women's qualification tournament in Valencia and are now one win away from securing their place at this summer's Olympic Games in Paris.

Victory over Spain in the semi-final would be enough to book their second successive trip to the Olympics, while defeat would not be the end of their hopes.

With the top three teams qualifying, a loss to Spain would see Ireland drop into the third/fourth place play-off against Belgium and Great Britain with Olympic qualification still up for grabs.
