RTÉ Sport Awards Manager of the Year nominees revealed

The nine-strong shortlist for the RTÉ Sport Manager of the Year award has been revealed.

The 2023 nominees include All-Ireland winning managers, a Grand Slam coach, a Champions Cup winning coach, a rowing mastermind, a legend of horse racing and a history-making League of Ireland manager.

Joanne Cantwell and Darragh Maloney will present the RTÉ Sport Awards 2023 live from Studio 4 in RTÉ on Saturday 16 December.

The Awards being handed out on the night live on RTÉ One in front of an audience of Irish sports stars include RTÉ Sport Sportsperson of the Year, RTÉ Sport Team of the Year, RTÉ Sport Manager of the Year and RTÉ Sport Young Sportsperson of the Year.

The winners will be selected by an independent panel of expert judges from across the Irish sporting media and performance world.

Andy Farrell  

The head coach led Ireland to a Grand Slam in 2023 and was named World Rugby Coach of the Year.

Dessie Farrell   

    

The Dublin football manager brought Sam Maguire back to the capital as the Dubs reclaimed the All-Ireland football title.

John Kiely   

    

John Kiely has steered Limerick to five of the last six All-Ireland hurling championships.

Managed Shamrock Rovers to a historic fourth successive League of Ireland title, becoming the first manager to do so.
