Whelo is more of the opinion that the teams in Ulster get so wrapped up in their own parochial contest that the All-Ireland series can sometimes seem an afterthought.

Elsewhere Mayo are seen as favourites for Connacht and fancied to have a say in Sam Maguire, while in Leinster and Munster the only question is around who comes second to Dublin and Kerry.
